What are medical and biomedical engineering?

What are medical and biomedical engineering?
I'm trying to pick a major and I hear that medical and biomedical engineering are good choices for people with proficiencies in math and science. But I don't really know anything about these types of engineering....can someone help explain the coursework and fieldwork, the research, and so on?

Biomedical Engineerine it study about medical equipments but medical deals about human not equipment.If u need more elaboration contact me.
